Yes, you will receive a valid tax invoice.

Where the DHL original invoice needs to be adjusted, DHL will issue credit / debit notes. These credit / debit notes will contain a reference to the sequential number of the original Tax Invoice and will include the same information as the Tax Invoice.

Yes, VAT is applied on imports and levied by Customs at 5%.

The Person appointed or acknowledged as an importer pursuant to the Common Customs Law (Importer of Record) is liable for the payment of import VAT. If DHL is paying the custom duties on behalf of the customer, DHL will also pay import VAT and will recharge it along with customs duties.

We will be enhancing our tax invoices issued to you in order to be compliant and to enable you to claim VAT input tax credits, where entitled.

International transport (all cross-border transport) will be zero-rated.

Minimum SAR 110/- Or 2% of Duties and Taxes charged whichever is higher.

To the extent the importer of record is entitled to deduct input VAT he may also use the import VAT as a tax credit.

Import VAT will be calculated on the basis of the customs value determined in accordance with the Common Customs Law (regularly CIF) plus Excise Tax, Customs Duty and any other fiscal charges.

  1. You may pay online using the link you received in our SMS or email. This is the best and fastest method of payment.
  2. Or you may pay at a DHL Service Point when you collect your shipment. This option is also available via the link in our SMS or email.
  3. Or you may pay by cash or check when the courier delivers your shipment. However, note that personal checks are not accepted by DHL.
