Duties and taxes are most typically not included in the price of the goods you purchased online. You are liable to pay any inbound duties and taxes which your local customs authority deems appropriate
Retailers (Internet and Catalogue) will usually include advice regarding the likelihood of import duties and taxes in their shipping information pages.
To confirm this you may wish to check the Terms & Conditions of your purchase or contact the retailer.
Sometimes this is the case. Products sold by overseas retailers may appear cheaper because they don’t include Duties and Taxes .
Whether a shipment is a gift or not, it must still go through an import procedure as deterimed by customs law in Morocco. You will need to pay customs duty and taxes only if the value of the gift is above 1250 MAD a stated local threshold.
You can request Duties and Taxes from Customs before the shipment will be returned to the origin.
The sender must contact DHL customer service to get full information and DHL origin will request DDP to DHL Destination .
Duties are calculated based on the value, Insurance and Freight (CFR-CPT-DAP-DDP-CIP). The duty rate depends on the relevant customs commodity code
In the absence of declared Freight and Insurance, this shall be deemed to be 50% of the value of goods for air importations.
This is the fee paid for the related customs follow ups done by DHL on behalf of the customer.
- If the customs duties are less than 500 DHS; the payment is not deducted.
- If the customs duties are between DHS 500 and DHS 5500; 132 DHS TTC is applied for payment deflection.
- If the customs duties are more than 5500 DHS; 2.4% of the customs duties will be applied as the deflation payment.
Any value greater than MAD 1250 recognised by the customs may result in the payment of customs duties and taxes in accordance with the customs regulations of the Kingdom of Morocco.. 4% of customs duties will be applied as the deflation payment.
The warehousing costs are 2.50 DHS/kg per day for a period from 4d to 9d; and 3dhs beyond 10d. The minimum is 200 DHS. And will be invoiced on your NDD ( Invoice that includes rights and taxes + shopping fees and SCS

- Or you may pay at a DHL Service Point when you collect your shipment.
- Or you may pay by cash or cheque, when the courier delivers your shipment at your doorstep.
